“For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” — Psalm 100:5

This simple confession turns the heart toward God: the LORD is good. His goodness is not a passing feeling, but a faithful love that sustains life and remains from generation to generation.

“Taste and see that the LORD is good!” — Psalm 34:8 (verse 9 in some Indonesian numbering)

The psalmist invites us not merely to speak about God’s goodness, but to taste and experience it. Faith becomes encounter: receiving life as a gift, walking in trust, and entrusting ourselves to the One who sustains us.

“Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good.” — Psalm 135:3

“Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way.” — Psalm 25:8

“The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.” — Psalm 145:9

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” — Psalm 23:6

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever.” — Psalm 118:1

In silence, “The LORD is good” becomes a prayer that leads us to trust. God’s goodness does not mean a life without hardship; it means that we are not abandoned. We learn to receive, relate, walk, and surrender—returning to the Source of life.

Language note: טוֹב יְהוָה (TOV YHWH) means “The LORD is good.” It is a phrase, not a person’s name. TOBIAH / טוֹבִיָּה is a distinct personal name.
