89 · דְּמָמָה — DAMAMAH

DAMAMAH points to a stillness that allows us to listen more deeply. Stillness is not merely the absence of sound; it is a space to be present, attentive, and aware of life.

MEDITATION

Sit quietly. Breathe slowly. Do not force the mind to become empty. Let thoughts come and go while returning to the breath. Listen to the stillness between sounds.

CONTEMPLATION

In stillness, we do not have to find an answer immediately. We learn to remain with questions, accept our limits, and make room for deeper understanding.

DAILY PRACTICE

  • Spend a few minutes without screens or distractions.
  • Breathe slowly before an important decision.
  • Listen without immediately interrupting.
  • Give feelings room before reacting.
  • Use stillness to examine intention and action.
  • Return to daily life with clearer attention.

I pause. I breathe. I listen. I am present.
