PRAYER · תְּפִלָּה

Prayer is a space to pause, be present, give thanks, ask, listen, and open ourselves to a good greater than our immediate interests.

MEDITATION

Sit in stillness. Breathe slowly. Become aware of life as it unfolds. There is no need for perfect words. Let the heart become honest.

CONTEMPLATION

Prayer is not only speaking; it is also listening. In stillness we can reconsider intentions, choices, wounds, hopes, and relationships. Mature prayer can lead us toward love, responsibility, forgiveness, and constructive action.

A PRAYER OF STILLNESS

Goodness beyond myself, teach me to pause when hurried, to listen when I want to answer immediately, to understand when I want to judge, and to love when I want to withdraw.

PRAYER FOR LIFE

May every human being find room to breathe, learn, grow, repair mistakes, and live with dignity. May we protect life, respect differences, and build peace through concrete actions.

DAILY PRACTICE

  • One minute of stillness before the day begins.
  • Name three things for which you are grateful.
  • Listen to someone without interrupting.
  • Acknowledge one mistake and choose a repair.
  • Do one small action that brings goodness.
  • Close the day with stillness and gratitude.

I am present. I listen. I give thanks. I choose love.
